PATRICK HINDS & GILLIAN PENSAVALLE
Patrick Hinds and Gillian Pensavalle are two theater and pop culture nerds who have earned critical acclaim in the podcasting landscape. In May 2017, they launched the highly successful "True Crime Obsessed" in which they break down all things true crime in a knowledgeable and hilarious way. They are each known in their own rights for hosting and creating their own theatrical podcasts. Hinds is the founder of Theater Podcast Productions and is the creator, co-producer, and host of "Theater People", a podcast featuring full-length interviews with Tony Award winners, Broadway legends, and today’s brightest theater stars. In partnership with TodayTix, Hinds also launched "Broadway Backstory", a documentary-style podcast that follows a show's journey from initial idea to Broadway production. Pensavalle is the creator, executive producer, and host of "The Hamilcast: A Hamilton Podcast," the first Hamilton podcast to hit the airwaves in January 2016. Since then, the show has earned the title of "The Official Hamilton Podcast" amongst cast members. Teaming up with her husband Michael Paul Smith, Pensavalle is also the co-creator, producer, and star of "The Residuals," a successful comedy series based on her and her husband’s real-life experience auditioning for commercials in New York City.
Episodes are produced and edited by Patrick Hinds.
